Hodeidah: The Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party - Yemen Branch strongly condemned on Saturday Saudi attacks targeting civilian facilities and telecommunications infrastructure in Hodeida province and Kamaran Island.
According to Yemen News Agency, the party issued a statement asserting that the aggressive strikes reflected the Saudi government's longstanding hostility toward Yemen and the Yemeni people. The statement characterized the targeting of civilian infrastructure and essential services as a dangerous escalation, describing it as an extension of the blockade and an attempt to deepen the suffering of Yemenis.
The party further labeled the attacks as unacceptable, condemning them as violations of international law and describing them as crimes under both legal and religious standards. The statement highlighted that the assaults on the Port of Hodeida and Kamaran Island represent a continuation of the military campaign that has been ongoing since 2015, alleging that it serves foreign interests and constitutes interference in Yemen's internal affairs.
The Ba'ath Party reiterated its support for measures taken by the leader of the Sanaa authorities and the Yemeni armed forces to end the blockade, including backing the decision to impose a maritime blockade on Saudi Arabia. The statement also called for confronting efforts to undermine Yemen's unity, sovereignty, and natural resources, urging the United Nations and the international community to assume their responsibilities by ending Saudi violations against the Yemeni people, lifting the blockade, and alleviating the worsening humanitarian situation.
