Sana'a: The Supreme Political Council (SPC), led by Mahdi al-Mashat, declared on Thursday that Yemen remains firmly positioned on a regional level and has effectively resisted attempts to deter its support for Gaza, which the council describes as experiencing a Zionist genocide.
According to Yemen News Agency, the SPC highlighted the steadfastness of the Yemeni people and the commendable performance of the armed forces, which have captivated global attention and are expected to reinvigorate the spirit of resistance. President al-Mashat provided an update on the developments surrounding a recent ceasefire announcement, extending his gratitude to Oman for its pivotal role. He expressed that Yemen regards the ceasefire as a victory, attributing it to divine assistance and the leadership's prudent strategies, which he claims led to a retreat by the United States following a significant failure.
President al-Mashat also stressed the state of high military readiness and signaled a forthcoming and substantial response to Israeli actions. He provided reassurances to the public regarding the country's economic stability and the continuous availability of oil. Efforts are underway to restore operations at Sana'a airport and to assist stranded Yemeni citizens. Additionally, the SPC is addressing issues related to power plants, with al-Mashat vowing retribution against what he termed the "Israeli enemy."
The SPC also welcomed Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, a member of the council, and conducted a review of military, security, and economic reports, leading to several strategic decisions.
