Speaker of Parliament Discusses Administrative Reforms with Key Government Ministers

Sana'a: Speaker of the Parliament Yahya al Ra'i met with Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development Dr. Khaled al Hawali, Deputy Minister of Finance Nasser al Hamdani, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for the Budget Sector Fouad al Kumaim to address critical administrative reforms.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting primarily focused on correcting administrative imbalances within public institutions and evaluating the current salary disbursement mechanism for state employees. The discussions underscored the importance of unified efforts to tackle the challenges posed by the ongoing aggression against Yemen.

Speaker al Ra'i emphasized the necessity of enhancing cooperation among relevant authorities to ensure continuous administrative development. He called for addressing dysfunctions, improving public service efficiency, and supporting administrative development efforts. The speaker also highlighted the need for systematic monitoring and evaluation of performance across public service units to improve job discipline and facilitate citizen transactions.

Dr. Khaled al Hawali presented the Ministry of Civil Service's ongoing reforms aimed at rectifying administrative irregularities in the Capital Sana'a and other governorates. He detailed the Ministry's commitment to modernization and improved service delivery through the implementation of a public service system integrated with a unified service window, which automates employee data processing and transaction tracking.

Deputy Minister of Finance and the Undersecretary for the Budget Sector updated the Speaker on the temporary exceptional mechanism supporting the civil service payroll. They discussed steps taken to resolve issues faced by small depositors and addressed grievance procedures related to the mechanism, highlighting responses from relevant ministries, particularly the Ministry of Civil Service.

The Speaker concluded the meeting by expressing appreciation for the efforts of the Ministries of Finance and Civil Service and Administrative Development in implementing the mechanism. He urged the fair and accurate resolution of grievances to enhance transparency and ensure justice throughout the process.
