Sana'a: The Speaker of Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to the Speaker of the Shura Council of the sisterly State of Qatar, Hassan Al-Ghanim, on the passing of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, after a life full of giving.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Ra'i expressed, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Presidency and members of Parliament, his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Speaker and members of the Shura Council, the leadership of the State of Qatar, and the Qatari people on this painful loss.
He recalled the positive role of the State of Qatar, under the leadership of Sheikh Hamad, in supporting a number of Arab and Islamic causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to confront occupation.
