Sports Race in Al-Khabt, Al-Mahwit Celebrates Mawlid al-Nabawi with Enthusiastic Participation

Al-mahwit: A "Greatest Messenger" sports race was held today in Al-Khabt District, Al-Mahwit Governorate, organized by the Youth and Sports Office in the district under the supervision of the Youth Office in the governorate, in coordination with the educational sector, celebrating the anniversary of the noble Prophet's birth (Mawlid al-Nabawi).

According to Yemen News Agency, the race saw the participation of over 100 athletes, including young men and students from Al-Najah Schools in Al-Hudn, Al-Fath in Al-Amarah, the New Al-Fath Complex, among others. The event commenced from the New Generation Complex in Al-Marawah area and concluded in Shamsiyan area in Al-Hudn, covering a distance of two kilometers.

The race was attended by Deputy Governor Yahya Al-Dhahiri. Ibrahim Abdulhamid, Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the governorate, stated that organizing the sports race is part of the events and activities accompanying the Mawlid al-Nabawi celebration. The aim is to enhance community and youth participation, and to develop the talents and abilities of young people.

The event was also attended by the Director of the Youth and Sports Office branch in the district, Murshid Al-Faqih. Ali Al-Shahidhi, the Mobilization official in the district, highlighted the importance of the Mawlid al-Nabawi as a spiritual occasion to strengthen adherence to the guidance of the Greatest Messenger (PBUH) and draw lessons from his biography.

Ali Al-Usaimi, head of the educational sector in the district, emphasized the significance of sports activities among school students. He noted that participation in Mawlid al-Nabawi events is an opportunity to instill the values and morals introduced by the noble Prophet (PBUH), while also focusing on sports and cultural activities that contribute to building a balanced and active generation.
