Summer Courses Spark Engagement in Jahana District with Unique Activities and Excursions

Jahana: Summer and scout schools in Jahana District of Sana'a Governorate witnessed a wide range of activities and programs this year.

According to Yemen News Agency, as part of the summer course programs prepared by the Higher Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, along with the supervisory and subcommittees in the governorate, several schools organized recreational trips and field visits to historical sites, tourist resorts, public parks, and well-known mosques in the district and the capital, Sana'a. These included Al-Sammad Martyr Schools, the Great Prophet Scout Troop in Al-Madinah area of Jahana, the Martyr Leader Summer Scout School in Maswar area, Al-Sarkha School in Maswar, Al-Rasul Al-Azam School in Beit Al-Salahi, and Al-Hasan bin Ali School in Al-Bayadh, all located in Maswar area.

The visits encompassed notable locations such as Al-Sabeen Park, Sana'a Zoo, Al-Shaab Mosque, and the mausoleums of martyrs Al-Sammad and Al-Ghamari along with their companions in the capital Sana'a, as well as the natural Wadi Asnaf Resort and the Martyrs' Garden in Dar Al-Sharif, Jahana. Organizers described these visits as a practical and unique model for providing students with hands-on knowledge about the country's historical landmarks and tourist attractions, as well as the legacy and sacrifices of prominent martyrs, which they said resulted in victory and pride across various fields.

Organizers of the summer courses explained that the recreational activities and trips are part of a broader program combining educational, cultural, and entertainment aspects aimed at discovering talents, building the capacities of children and youth, and developing their skills.

They added that the recreational trips and field visits provide opportunities for students to interact and cooperate with one another, helping to strengthen teamwork and discipline, which positively reflects on their social behavior.

At the conclusion of the trips, organizers and students expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to implementing the activities and programs, stressing the significant benefits gained in developing their abilities, refining their skills, strengthening their Quranic culture, and enhancing the awareness and knowledge acquired during this year's summer courses.
