Sanaa: The Supreme Elections and Referendum Committee commemorated the Prophet Muhammad's birthday today with a speech event. At the event, which was attended by the committee's Vice President, Judge Mohammed Al-Azir, and other committee members, the Secretary-General, Mohammed Al-Jalal, stated that celebrating the Prophet's birthday embodies sincere loyalty and devotion to the final Prophet, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and reflects his esteemed position in the hearts of the Yemeni people and the entire Muslim world.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Jalal considered the Prophet's birthday an opportunity to draw upon the values, ethics, and principles of mercy that the noble Messenger brought to humanity. He emphasized the importance of commemorating the occasion in a manner befitting the greatness of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), enhancing awareness of his life and righteous path, and reinforcing the values of solidarity, compassion, and cooperation among members of society. Al-Jalal explained that Yemenis celebrate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday out of love, reverence, and veneration for the best of Allah's creation, and to renew their commitment to his path, values, and principles. He considered the commemoration an opportunity to introduce future generations to the Prophet's life and noble stances, and to recall the lessons of patience, steadfastness, morality, cooperation, and solidarity found in his blessed life.
He emphasized that following the path of the Prophet Muhammad obligates everyone today to fulfill their religious and moral responsibility in confronting the challenges and dangers targeting the nation and its people, their religion, dignity, and freedom. He clarified that this responsibility entails everyone being present in the field of action and striving in the cause of Allah and giving generously.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Elections Committee commended the Yemeni Armed Forces' operations against the Saudi enemy and their imposition of the "siege for siege and escalation for escalation" equation. He affirmed that Yemen and its leadership have endured the tyranny and arrogance of the Al Saud regime, and today everyone is mobilizing to reclaim their rights, deter falsehood, and restore the Yemeni people's rights and resources. He explained that Yemen's current movement against the tyranny of the Al Saud regime comes to lift the injustice inflicted upon the people after 12 years of aggression, siege, oppression, hegemony, and guardianship. He clarified that Yemen's movement is inspired by the example of the Prophet Muhammad, who rose up against the polytheists of Quraysh to lift the oppression from the believers.
Al-Jalal, on behalf of himself, the committee's leadership, and its members, renewed their pledge of allegiance to Allah Almighty, the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and the leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and their commitment to the path for which the martyrs sacrificed their lives and rose up in the cause of Allah, in support of Allah's religion and the causes of the nation.
He also affirmed the committee's, its leadership's, and its members' authorization of the leader to take all necessary measures against the Saudi-American enemy and anyone who dares to harm the people and the nation. He noted that the Supreme Elections Committee continues its mobilization activities, supplying the fronts with funds and personnel, and maintaining readiness for any eventuality. Committee member Judge Ali Al-Samet reviewed aspects of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), his attributes, and his efforts to spread the religion of Allah and strive in His cause.
He discussed the praises bestowed upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), including poems that express his noble character and lofty qualities. He emphasized that Yemen is at the forefront of commemorating his blessed birth and highlighting his exalted status.
Judge Al-Samet pointed out that the Yemeni people's observance of this occasion reflects their love and connection to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and their commitment to following the true path of Islam, regardless of the challenges.
For his part, Judge Mohammed Bazi, Head of the Foreign Relations Sector of the Committee, considered the commemoration of the Prophet's birth an opportunity to raise awareness within society and introduce it to the life of the noble Prophet and the lofty values and humanitarian principles embodied in his message, foremost among them truthfulness, trustworthiness, mercy, cooperation, and benevolence. The events, attended by several directors general and committee staff, included recitations by the Yemeni Singers Association, headed by its president, Ali Al-Akwa, as well as cultural segments and a report on the occasion.
