Sana'a: The Supreme Judicial Council held its regular meeting today, chaired by Council President Judge Dr. Abdulmomen Shujaa Al-Din. During the meeting, the council discussed preparations and arrangements for commemorating the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, which will be organized by the bodies and agencies of the judicial authority. The council emphasized the importance of thorough preparation and broad engagement with this occasion, which serves as an educational and spiritual milestone contributing to strengthening awareness and the values of the Prophet Muhammad.
According to Yemen News Agency, the council reviewed the draft general annual plan and the project matrix for the judicial authority for the year 1447 AH, submitted by the National Vision Technical Unit at the Judicial Council. The plan includes projects from previous years alongside new projects, including specialized and judicial automation projects, aiming to meet the priorities of the judicial authority and its need for capacity building and achieving expedited justice.
The council postponed the approval of the plan to the next meeting to allow members time to study the draft plan and provide their feedback. It also reviewed draft plans from the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and the Higher Judicial Institute for 1447 AH, submitted by the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, who is also head of the institute's council. Approval of these plans was deferred to a future meeting for further review and necessary observations.
The council approved transferring several public prosecution members to work in various public prosecutions based on a proposal from the Attorney General. The council discussed several other agenda items, directed necessary actions regarding them, and ratified the minutes of its previous meeting.
