Israeli Forces Fortify Military Base South of Mantera Dam

Quneitra: Israeli forces on Monday dug trenches and erected earth berms using heavy machinery around a military base south of Mantera Dam in central Quneitra countryside, southern Syria.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the works focused on the base and access roads, with no clashes reported. This development is part of ongoing Israeli incursions and fortification efforts in southern Syria.

The recent actions follow an incident on August 22, when an Israeli patrol consisting of three military vehicles entered the area around the dam and briefly took position in an abandoned two-story house. The strategic positioning of Israeli forces in this region underscores ongoing tensions in southern Syria.
