Hodeida: A symposium titled "Education in the Shadow of Resilience: Challenges and Strategies for Continuing Education" was held on Wednesday at Hodeida University, organized in honor of the National Day of Resilience.
According to Yemen News Agency, the symposium was attended by Hodeida University Chairman Dr. Mohammed al-Ahdal and Dr. Majid al-Idrisi, the president's advisor. The event focused on the critical role of education in national development and liberation. Dr. al-Idrisi highlighted the significant damage caused by aggression, noting that over 80% of the university's infrastructure had been destroyed.
Dr. Abdullah al-Qalaisi, Dean of Libraries, shared the strategies the university adopted to ensure the continuation of education, which included relocating to temporary sites and addressing staff displacement issues. Furthermore, Dr. Ahmed Azzi, University Rector's Advisor, emphasized the recovery phase, which involves new construction and the release of academic publications.
Dr. Ezz Al-Din Muadh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, praised the resilience of the faculty, staff, and students. He underscored the importance of organizing student visits to damaged faculties to raise awareness of the ongoing challenges faced by the Yemeni people.
