Taiz: The Public Works Office, branches of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, the Land, Transport, and Geological Survey Authorities, the Road Maintenance Executive Unit, and Taiz International Airport organized a speech event to commemorate Wilayah Day.
According to Yemen News Agency, Abdulrahman Mahmoud, Director of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority Office, emphasized in his speech that celebrating Wilayah Day is a tribute to the completion of religion and the perfection of blessings for the nation. He highlighted that the nation's misunderstanding of the concept of Wilayah, or guardianship, in Islam has left it vulnerable to oppressive rulers, resulting in subordination to external powers.
Mahmoud further elaborated that the lack of adherence to this principle has contributed to the current fragmentation of the nation. He stressed that true victory is achievable only through genuine allegiance to Allah, His Messenger, Imam Ali, and the guiding leaders. He urged the audience to draw inspiration from the life and teachings of Imam Ali, whom he described as the Islamic model of justice and leadership.
In addition, Hossam Al-Fatesh, Director of the Executive Unit, highlighted that the Yemeni people distinguish themselves by observing Wilayah Day in honor of Imam Ali. He stated that this celebration signifies the Yemeni people's commitment to the principle of Wilayah and their stance against adversaries.
