Sana'a: On this day, June 17, the US-Saudi aggression committed crimes against the Yemeni people, resulting in deaths, injuries, and significant destruction of public and private property.
According to Yemen News Agency, on June 17, 2015, airstrikes launched by the aggression's air force injured two people in Al-Mukhair Fort area of Al-Mahwit Governorate, as more than 12 missiles destroyed EU-funded rural development project hangars and damaged historical sites. The strikes also targeted road maintenance equipment in Al-Tawila.
In Saada Governorate, airstrikes destroyed a home in Majz District and targeted multiple sites across Munabbih, Haydan, Al-Dhaher, and Ghamr Districts. Similar destruction was reported in Jawf and Aden Governorates, along with attacks on civilian areas in Lahj, Hajjah, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Taiz.
On June 17, 2016, mercenary sniper fire killed a woman in Taiz, while shelling damaged homes and injured civilians in Al-Jawf Governorate. Airstrikes in Saada and Sana'a Governorates further devastated civilian properties. The aggression's air force also targeted the airport area in Marib Governorate.
The following years saw continued devastation. On June 17, 2017, airstrikes killed a truck driver in Taiz, damaged farms in Sana'a, and launched multiple attacks across Jawf, Hajjah, Jizan, and Saada. In 2018, the aggression targeted Hodeida International Airport and various civilian sites, continuing the pattern of destruction.
The aggression persisted through 2019 and 2020, with mercenaries launching artillery attacks on civilian areas in Hodeida, causing extensive damage. Airstrikes targeted communication networks and residential areas in Sana'a, Hajjah, Saada, and Asir Governorates, with significant civilian casualties.
By June 17, 2021, Saudi border guards killed two civilians in Saada, while airstrikes caused widespread damage in Marib and Al-Hodeida. The aggression continued its relentless pattern in 2022, with reconnaissance aircraft and mercenaries shelling civilian areas across multiple governorates.
Most recently, on June 17, 2023, Saudi army shelling injured two civilians in Saada. Reconnaissance aircraft and mercenaries continued to establish combat fortifications and shell civilian areas in Taiz and Hodeida Governorates, perpetuating years of violence and destruction.
