Taiz: Taiz Governorate commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Zaid bin Ali (AS) with a march and speeches under the slogan "Insight and Jihad." The event was attended by Shura Council member Mahmoud Bajash, Deputy Governor Qanaf Al-Sufi, Mobilization Official Mohammed Al-Khulaidi, Social Affairs Official Hames Al-Habari, as well as local, executive, military, and security leaders, alongside social figures.

According to Yemen News Agency, Director General of Training and Rehabilitation Hashem Al-Adib, speaking on behalf of the local authority, stated that Imam Zaid emerged during a period of tyranny and oppression within the Islamic Ummah. He highlighted the Umayyads' actions, which he claimed distorted Islamic values and principles, mixed truth with falsehood, and violated sacred principles. Al-Adib emphasized that the historical record has revealed the massacres and religious negligence of the Umayyads, propelling Imam Zaid to rise against them with his famous declaration: "By Allah, I will not remain silent while the Book of Allah is abandoned."

Al-Adib urged a return to the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH), advocating for jihad against oppressors and the protection of the oppressed. He noted that the month of Muharram witnessed two significant tragedies: the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) on the 10th of Muharram, 61 AH, and the martyrdom of his grandson, Imam Zaid (AS), on the 25th of Muharram, 122 AH. He asserted that the revolutions led by Imam Hussein and Imam Zaid were successful in undermining the legitimacy of tyrannical regimes and exposing the deceit of those conspiring against freedom, truth, and justice.

Al-Allama Taher Al-Haddar, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, delivered a speech on Imam Zaid's revolutionary path, highlighting his role in challenging injustice and tyranny. Sunni scholars acknowledged Imam Zaid's esteemed status as "the ally of the Quran," emphasizing the significance of his writings for Islamic scholars. Al-Haddar cautioned that deviations by scholars could lead the Ummah into decline, attributing current weaknesses to corrupt scholars and court clerics who lack fear of Allah.

Cultural activist Adnan Al-Sawadi remarked on the significance of Imam Zaid's jihad, uprising, and martyrdom in preserving authentic Muhammadan Islam in thought, culture, and revolution against tyranny. He noted that Imam Zaid's movement was distinguished by its connection to a prominent Islamic symbol, uniting the Ummah across sects. Al-Sawadi emphasized the revolution's objective of restoring the Ummah to the true Islamic path, from which the Umayyad tyrants had deviated.

In addition to the main event, residents of the Sharab Al-Rouna, Al-Salam, and Hayfan districts organized speeches in remembrance of Imam Zaid (AS). The people of Khadir district held a cultural evening, and a vigil was conducted in the Al-Salu district to mark the occasion.
