Taiz: Development & Agricultural Sector Holds Oratory & Nasheed Event Commemorating Prophet’s Birthday

Taiz: The Development and Agricultural Sector in Taiz Governorate organized an oratory and nasheed event to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), attended by the Governorate's Public Mobilization Officer, Mohamed Al-Khalidi, and Deputy Governor Abdul-Wase' Al-Shamsi.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was organized in cooperation with various local entities, including multipurpose cooperative associations, the Social Affairs Office, and other units and authorities. Engineer Abdullah Al-Jundi, the Agricultural Sector Head, delivered remarks highlighting the Prophet's role in guiding humanity. He emphasized the importance of the Yemeni people's continued celebration of the Prophet's birthday, urging public participation in the central celebration on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal at Al-Rasool Al-Azam Square.

In a speech on behalf of the guests, Khalid Mousa, Secretary-General of the Yemeni Scholars Association, stressed that Quranic culture is essential for development across sectors. He highlighted the Prophet's teachings on knowledge, resource building, and kindness, suggesting that the Prophet's birthday should inspire productivity.

Hussein Al-Rashidi, Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects, spoke about the severe famine in Gaza, noting that the occasion is a time to reflect on the Prophet's support for the oppressed. Cultural activist Youssef Basha emphasized the Yemeni people's historical role in supporting national causes, criticizing regimes that target the Arab and Islamic world for the benefit of external powers.
