Taiz: The Education Sector in Taiz governorate organized a cultural and speech event on Sunday to commemorate al-Wilayah Day 1448 AH, with participation from various educational, cultural, and youth institutions across the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was organized by Taiz University, the education and technical education sectors, the culture and tourism sector, the Technical Institute, the Technical Institute for Administrative Sciences, the Literacy and Adult Education Authority, and the Youth and Sports Office in the governorate.
Culture Sector Official Dr. Ghamdan Zubaybah spoke at the event, emphasizing the significance of renewing loyalty to Allah, His Messenger, Imam Ali, and the figures revered within the tradition of Ahl al-Bayt. He described the commemoration as an expression of gratitude for the completion of religion and divine blessings and as an opportunity to remind younger generations of what participants characterized as the historical message associated with the occasion.
Zubaybah stated that the principle of wilayah serves as a means of preserving the community's identity and cohesion and protecting it from external influences and internal divisions. He also stressed the importance of awareness and vigilance against what he described as efforts to distort the concept of wilayah, asserting that adherence to its principles contributes to strength, dignity, and success.
The event was part of a series of activities organized in the governorate to mark Wilayah Day and included participation from representatives of educational, cultural, and youth institutions.
