Taiz:Taiz Network for Rights and Freedoms has issued a strong condemnation against the Saudi aggression and its mercenaries for the continued systematic targeting of civilians, infrastructure, and civilian objects in the Taiz Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Network highlighted a recent incident where a mortar shell was fired into the densely populated Al-Arsh-Hadhran zone in the Al-Ta'iziyah District. This attack resulted in casualties, including women and children.
The Network has also criticized the militarization of the city center, accusing the Saudi mercenaries of setting up checkpoints and roadblocks that restrict citizens' movement and prevent them from leaving the city. The Network emphasized that such actions are violations under international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, classifying them as war crimes.
Additionally, the deliberate targeting of women and children in their homes was described as a violation of the right to life and human dignity, amounting to crimes against humanity. The Taiz Network for Rights and Freedoms holds the Saudi aggressor and its mercenaries fully responsible for these acts and calls for accountability.
The Network has urged the United Nations, the Security Council, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and international organizations to condemn the situation and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
