Tenders Authority Advises Against Premature Supervision Fees in Procurement

Sanaa:The Supreme Authority for Tender Control has advised tender committees within government entities against including supervision fees in procurement items until official regulations are established.

According to Yemen News Agency, the authority has communicated this directive through a circular sent to ministers, governors, and heads of public authorities and institutions. The circular highlighted that some government entities, both central and local, have recently begun incorporating supervision fees into their procurement processes.

The authority emphasized that adding such fees prior to the issuance of the relevant regulations contravenes the Tenders, Auctions and Government Warehouses Law No. 23 of 2007, along with its executive regulations.
