Maqbanah: The Good Deeds Foundation for Development and Relief handed over three housing units to the poorest martyrs' families in the Akhdoud Asfal and Al-Ashmala areas of Maqbanah District, Taiz Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project was funded by philanthropists at a cost of 25 million riyals. During the handover ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families, Saleh Hamzah, stated that the delivery of the three housing units to martyrs' families comes as part of efforts by benevolent donors to support the families of martyrs amid the difficult conditions imposed by aggression and blockade. He called on charitable organizations and the community to contribute to completing what the foundation has started to cover the needs of the most impoverished families.
Ali Al-Junayd, Director of the Authority's branch in the governorate, praised the role of the Good Deeds Foundation for Development in providing decent housing for families without shelter. Meanwhile, Abdulrahman Ali Ibrahim, Director of Maqbanah District, commended the efforts of the philanthropists and the foundation in completing the three housing units for martyrs' families, noting that such initiatives reflect loyalty to the sacrifices of the martyrs.
The Executive Director of the Good Deeds Foundation, Abdulfattah Abduh, confirmed that the housing units were built according to engineering specifications suitable for the area's terrain and climate. Later, the Deputy Chairman of the Martyrs' Families Authority, along with the directors of Maqbanah District, the Authority's Taiz branch, and the Foundation, visited the Sayyid al-Shuhada Cemetery in the district, recited Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs, and inspected the preparations and artistic works in the cemetery in conjunction with the approach of the annual Martyr's Anniversary for the year 1447 AH.
