Lahj: Residents of Al-Qubaitah District in Lahj Governorate held three large public marches on Friday to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zaid (peace be upon him) and express support for the Armed Forces' statement.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants described the occasion as an important historical milestone symbolizing sacrifice, steadfastness, and the defense of justice. They said Imam Zaid's revolution embodied resistance to oppression and the call for reform.
A statement issued during the marches stressed the importance of following Imam Zaid's approach of upholding the Holy Quran, promoting virtue, rejecting injustice, and drawing lessons from his legacy in confronting contemporary challenges.
The statement reaffirmed support for the Armed Forces, describing their operations as a legitimate act of defending Yemen and the causes they support. It also rejected the continued blockade on Yemeni airports and ports, warning that any violation of Yemen's airspace would receive a decisive response.
It further expressed solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, condemned what it described as U.S. violations, and praised the unity of the Iranian people and the large public turnout at the funeral of the "Martyr of the Islamic Nation."
The statement also called for continued public mobilization, expanded training and qualification programs, and greater national unity to confront challenges, achieve freedom, independence, and the restoration of national rights and resources.
