Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted thunderstorm rainfall of varying intensity to affect several provinces within the next 24 hours. The center has issued a warning to residents across these areas to prepare for potential weather disruptions.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin highlights that the provinces of Saada, Al-Jawf, Amran, Sana'a, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Al-Dhalea, and the Tihama plain are expected to experience thunderstorms. Additionally, scattered rainfall, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is likely to occur over the Bab al-Mandab entrance and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan provinces.
The center has cautioned citizens about the risks of flash floods in valleys and ravines, advising against being in these areas or crossing them during and after rainfall. There is also a warning about the dangers of thunderstorms, with recommendations to avoid proximity to electrical poles and tall trees.
Further warnings include the possibility of rockfalls and mudslides, along with reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to rainfall and fog formation. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure safety during the predicted weather conditions.
