Workshop at Ibb University to Develop Interior Design Program and Update Technology Curricula

Sana'a: The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Ibb University, in coordination with the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, organized a workshop focused on establishing and developing the interior design program document, as well as updating the computer and communications programs. The event saw the participation of 35 specialists.

According to Yemen News Agency, the President of Ibb University, Dr. Nasr Al-Hajili, emphasized the importance of utilizing the faculty's capabilities and expertise to update academic programs and establish specialized ones in line with quality and academic accreditation standards. These efforts aim to prepare educational outputs capable of serving development needs.

Dr. Al-Hajili highlighted the university's achievements over the past year, including winning first place in a scientific innovation competition and exhibition, and attaining advanced positions in global rankings of higher education institutions. He viewed these workshops as crucial for fostering partnerships between academic and practical aspects, aligning study programs with labor market demands, and reinforcing the university's commitment to modernization and continuous development.

The workshop, attended by university vice presidents Dr. Abdullah Al-Falahi, Dr. Fouad Hassan, Dr. Ahmed Abu Lahoum, Secretary General Abdul Malik Al-Saqqaf, and various faculty deans, reviewed objectives related to environmental analysis, strategic directions, and professional standards for program graduates.

Discussions centered around preparing and updating program documents, courses, and study plans to meet quality and academic accreditation standards. This approach aims to improve educational outcomes and enhance graduate efficiency in interior design, computers, and communications.

Participants stressed the importance of continuing these specialized workshops to develop academic performance and update curricula in line with scientific and technological advancements.
