Tomorrow in Sana’a: Launch of National Exhibition for Locally Manufactured Fertilizers, Pesticides

Sana'a: Tomorrow, Wednesday, the activities of the Permanent National Exhibition for Fertilizers and Pesticides Manufactured Locally from Safe Organic Components will kick off in Sana'a, in support of the local product.

According to Yemen News Agency, the exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, represented by the General Authority for Agricultural Services, comes within the framework of efforts to enhance local production, support sustainable agricultural development, localize the agricultural industry, and respond to the directives of the Revolution Leader to boycott imported pesticides and fertilizers.

The Acting Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Ammar Al-Karim, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the exhibition serves as a platform to introduce local agricultural products and showcase national experiences and innovations in the field of fertilizer and pesticide production.

He pointed out that the exhibition aims to display local agricultural products of fertilizers and pesticides, introduce their importance, draw the attention of farmers and investors to these products and encourage them to purchase them instead of the risks and harms of foreign products, in addition to supporting innovation and development in the agricultural sector and contributing to achieving self-sufficiency.

Al-Karim noted that local production of agricultural fertilizers and pesticides is one of the most important pillars of agricultural development, due to its role in supporting the national economy, reducing dependence on imports, and providing farmers with safe local agricultural products.

He stated that the trend towards locally manufacturing pesticides and fertilizers will contribute to encouraging innovation and investment in this field, and will help create new job opportunities. He called on everyone to actively participate in the exhibition's activities and events and to benefit from its offerings of locally manufactured fertilizers and pesticides.

It is worth noting that the exhibition includes multiple products of fertilizers and pesticides for various types, showcases local agricultural innovations and technologies, successful models and experiences in local production, and provides awareness and guidance materials for farmers.
