Sana'a: The Traffic Police announced the extension of the exemption period for old accumulated violations and renewals until the 30th of Shawwal 1447 AH, before fees return to their previous values according to the regulatory regulations.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Director of Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, explained that the extension decision, coinciding with the end of the blessed month of Ramadan, came in response to the circumstances of citizens and drivers and to alleviate their financial obligations.
He affirmed the importance of this extension, which gives citizens an additional opportunity to settle the status of their vehicles and benefit from the granted exemptions during the specified period.
The Traffic Police stressed that there will be no further extension after the specified date, as fees and fines will return to their previous values according to the applicable traffic regulations, especially after the extensive exemption campaign announced earlier in appreciation of people's circumstances and suffering resulting from the siege and aggression.
It renewed its call for all drivers to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to preserve lives and property, and to contribute to enhancing traffic safety and reducing road accidents.
