Sana'a: The Traffic Police organized a cultural evening in celebration of the anniversary of the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabawi) for the year 1447 AH. During the event, the Director General of the Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, emphasized the profound significance of the commemoration in the hearts of the Yemeni people, reflecting their deep connection with the Prophet Muhammad.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Barashi highlighted that the Traffic Police have implemented a comprehensive plan to manage the large crowds. They have mobilized all human and logistical resources to ensure smooth traffic flow and facilitate the movement of citizens. He also stressed the importance of maintaining readiness, integrating efforts, and performing duties with kindness and professionalism.
Dr. Al-Barashi further elaborated on the deeply rooted values of faith-based identity within the Yemeni community. He urged everyone to raise awareness and share in the collective responsibility for the success of the event, which he described as a reflection of awareness and commitment toward this significant religious occasion.
Speeches delivered during the evening focused on embodying prophetic values in traffic management and emphasized renewing the commitment to follow the Prophet's path in mercy, justice, and service to people. This, they noted, strengthens the faith-based identity adopted by the Ministry of Interior and its institutions.
The speeches also noted that celebrating this occasion is considered a righteous deed that pleases Allah and His Messenger, bringing joy to believers and dismay to disbelievers and hypocrites. This is in alignment with the Qur'anic verse: 'Say, in the bounty of Allah and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate.'
