Sana'a: The Traffic Police organized an awareness workshop today for business owners in all areas of the Capital Municipality, under the slogan "Traffic Safety is Everyone's Responsibility," as part of preparations to receive the mass crowds participating in the central event commemorating the Prophet's Birthday.

According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop was attended by the Director of Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, along with traffic leaders and officers. The focus was on guiding shop and facility owners in organizing parking spaces and avoiding road obstructions leading to the central celebration square. The event addressed cooperation aspects, particularly in raising awareness about the negatives of random parking and the potential congestion and traffic disruptions, especially where parking space is limited.

Agreements were reached with facility owners to allocate field support services to assist the Traffic Police in organizing and managing traffic flow in front of their shops. This aims to prevent illegal parking, ensuring smooth traffic flow and reducing congestion. The workshop approved actionable measures, including developing a structured mechanism for the sustainable operation of support services for the Traffic Police, and granting them authority to monitor violations on the street in front of their facilities.

The Director of Traffic Police stressed the importance of integrating efforts between security agencies and commercial facility owners to facilitate traffic flow during the Prophet's Birthday event. He noted that this requires mobilizing efforts to ensure smooth arrival and departure of crowds to and from the celebration square. He also highlighted that these measures will be sustainable and intensive throughout the year, praising facility owners for their cooperation.

Dr. Al-Barashi emphasized that traffic safety is a shared community responsibility, urging everyone to positively engage with the traffic plan for the Prophet's Birthday event and beyond. Business owners affirmed their readiness to work with traffic personnel to benefit the community.
