Training Course on First Aid and Safety Launched for Central Workshop Staff

Sana'a: A training course on the basics of first aid and occupational safety began today at the Public Corporation for Roads and Bridges. This initiative is designed to equip 40 participants from the Central Workshop's staff with essential skills to manage workplace accidents and emergency injuries effectively.

According to Yemen News Agency, the four-day course is being organized by the Corporation in collaboration with the Yemen Red Crescent. The Chairman of the Corporation, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Hadhrami, emphasized the significance of the program in enhancing awareness about occupational safety and the foundational principles of first aid that are crucial for workers, particularly in executive institutions like the Roads and Bridges Corporation.

The course is structured as a first phase targeting 40 staff members, with subsequent phases planned to include all workshop staff and executive departments. Key topics covered in the training include basic first aid, workplace safety and hazards, assessing accident scenes, rescuer safety, CPR, managing choking incidents, wound, bleeding, burn, and shock management, as well as addressing bone, joint, and poisoning injuries.
