Dhamar University Hosts Scientific Day to Showcase Medical Students’ Research

Dhamar: Dhamar University's Faculty of Medicine organized a scientific day to review the graduation research of its 22nd class of medical students for the academic year 1447 AH. The event aimed to connect medical research with societal needs and development.

According to Yemen News Agency, university rector Dr. Mohammed al-Haifi underscored the significance of scientific endeavors in human development. He stressed the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, highlighting how both medical and engineering practices contribute to human well-being.

The scientific day showcased 130 student research projects, which were supervised by 33 faculty members. The research covered a range of topics, including genetic cancers, the impact of ongoing conflict and blockade on health, malnutrition, and the utilization of local medical resources.

The faculty emphasized the need for continuous integration of medical knowledge and applied research. This approach aims to tackle current health challenges and foster community-focused solutions.
