Ibb: The training program on the characterization of academic programs for the undergraduate level at the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences began on Tuesday at Ibb University in cooperation with the Development and Quality Assurance Center, with the participation of 20 specialists.
According to Yemen News Agency, at the opening, Dr. Abdullah Al-Falahi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, stressed the importance of benefiting from the training packages for the characterization of the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences’ programs. He emphasized the need to develop an academic map to transform college programs into productive ones, focusing on the applied aspects that accompany the theoretical components in various courses.
The Dean of the Development Center, Dr. Muhammad Al-Qawas, and the Dean of the College, Dr. Ali Miyas, provided insights into the objectives of the training program. They discussed the mechanism for characterizing undergraduate programs in line with the latest models from the Academic Accreditation Council, as well as local and international references. The aim is to produce outputs capable of meeting the country’s needs in the agricultural, animal, and food industries sectors.
