Amran: Amran University today held its fourth training workshop titled 'Scientific Research and Its Relation to Effective Teaching in the Academic and Research Fields,' organized by the Center for Development and Quality Assurance in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The workshop was attended by 70 faculty members from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, aiming to enhance participants' research skills and strengthen their scientific and technical capacities in preparing studies and papers based on the principles and methodologies of sound scientific research.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the opening session, University President Dr. Mohammed Al-Dula'i highlighted the workshop's role in developing research competencies to ensure academic program quality and in applying academic accreditation standards for effective and successful teaching. He emphasized the importance of scientific research in addressing societal problems, finding practical solutions, and contributing to national development. Dr. Al-Dula'i also noted the university's remarkable progress in the research field, attributing this success to the efforts of its staff. A special ceremony is planned for next week to honor distinguished researchers.
Meanwhile, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Mohammed Al-Iryani, explained that the workshop aligns with the university's and faculty's strategic goals of promoting professional development among academic staff across all scientific disciplines. The training seeks to equip participants with analytical, innovative, and modern teaching skills.
For his part, Dean of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Dr. Mutie Al-Qahali, reviewed the workshop's program, which focuses on integrating research competencies into teaching practices. He stressed the importance of creating an educational environment that achieves the intended cognitive, emotional, and practical learning outcomes of each academic subject.
