Dhamar: Two events mark Prophet's Birthday by several executive offices: Branches of the General Telecommunications Corporation, the Executive Unit, the Postal, Insurance and Pensions Authorities, the Standards and Quality Control Authority, the Tax Sector, the Finance Office, and the Civil Service Sector in Dhamar Governorate organized two commemorative events marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
According to Yemen News Agency, during the events attended by the governor's deputies and directors of the concerned offices, speeches highlighted the importance of celebrating this occasion as a demonstration of love and loyalty to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and following his teachings in word and deed.
The speakers emphasized that commemorating the Prophet's birthday reflects joy and reverence for the occasion, which plays a vital role in strengthening faith-based identity and the connection to the Prophet. The speeches also addressed the meanings and significance of the Prophet's birthday in the hearts of the Yemeni people, stressing that it should be celebrated as one of the Islamic nation's festivals and regarded as an important religious observance. The occasion was described as an educational opportunity to draw inspiration from the life of the final Prophet, his purity, values, principles, and noble ethics.
The speakers considered the celebration of the Prophet's birthday as a manifestation of faith awareness, reinforcement of societal cohesion, and renewal of the pledge to follow the Prophet's path in confronting the enemies of the nation and supporting the oppressed. They noted that this observance reflects the deep connection to the Messenger of Allah, following the example of forefathers who celebrated the occasion since the advent of Islam in Yemen.
The speeches highlighted that commemorating the Prophet's birthday provides an opportunity to return to the values, principles, and noble morals established by the Prophet, to uphold Qur'anic culture and faith identity, and to implement these principles in daily life. They emphasized that reverence, love, and respect for the Prophet are key factors for the nation's dignity, honor, and victory.
The speakers called for activating public engagement in celebrating the occasion, especially in light of attempts to distort Islam and the global challenges that necessitate a sincere return to the authentic prophetic path. They affirmed that the Prophet's timeless message remains the way to liberate the nation from oppression and tyranny.
Finally, the speeches urged the strengthening of unity and drawing lessons of steadfastness from the Prophet's life in confronting aggressors and supporting the oppressed. They condemned ongoing massacres by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the continued siege and starvation, and the use of humanitarian aid as a trap to harm Palestinians.
