Al-mahwit: Residents of Bani Al-Khayyat sub-district in Al-Tawilah district of Al-Mahwit governorate on Thursday held a cultural evening to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, District Director Rashid Marwan emphasized the significance of the occasion, urging attendees to draw lessons from the life of the Prophet Muhammad and emulate his morals, values, and principles in all areas of life. He highlighted that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is an opportunity to strengthen the connection with him and follow his example, while encouraging active participation in events marking the occasion.
Marwan also encouraged the residents of Al-Tawilah to attend the central celebration at the governorate center on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal. In parallel, residents of Azzan village in Al-Gharbi sub-district held another event featuring speeches to honor the Prophet's birthday.
General Mobilization official Ali Mohammed Sharaf Al-Din spoke during the evening, underscoring the importance of remembering the Prophet's life and his commitment to supporting truth and upholding the word of Allah. He emphasized the necessity of translating the values and principles of the Muhammadan message into practical conduct within society.
Additionally, Secretary of the district's Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society, Ali Yahya Al-Harasi, highlighted the occasion's role in fostering solidarity and cooperation among community members, urging adherence to the Prophet's approach in work, conduct, and community service. General Mobilization official in the sub-district, Abduh Al-Hamzi, noted that commemorating the Prophet's birthday reflects love and loyalty to the Prophet and enhances awareness of the importance of following his guidance and noble example.
