Undersecretary Inspects Road Expansion Project in Bani Al-Awam District

Hajjah: The Undersecretary of Hajjah Governorate, Ahmed Al-Akhfash, inspected on Wednesday the progress of the implementation of a road survey and expansion project in Bani Al-Awam District. The initiative aims to enhance connectivity in the region by improving the road linking Jabal Awali in Qal'at Al-Sharqi, covering a total distance of 15 kilometers.

According to Yemen News Agency, the project is being carried out through a community initiative with support from entities including the local authority, the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit, and businessman Aziz Awad. During the inspection, Undersecretary Al-Akhfash, accompanied by the Director of the Engineering Unit, Engineer Abdullah Al-Haddad, and the District Director, Hassan Al-Ashwal, received updates from project supervisors regarding the progress and potential challenges such as constructing retaining walls in certain areas. The initiative also sees active community contributions, particularly in providing necessary materials like stones, while the local authority focuses on safeguarding nearby agricultural lands.

Undersecretary Al-Akhfash highlighted the critical importance of completing the project to improve the mobility of district residents, especially since it connects the district center with the western sub-districts of Bani Al-Awam. He lauded the community's active participation, the significant role of the Central Interventions Unit, and the generous support from businessman Aziz Awad, all contributing to the construction and development efforts in the region.

Al-Akhfash emphasized that road projects are a top priority for the governorate leadership and the Central Interventions Unit. District Director Hassan Al-Ashwal also expressed appreciation for the community's involvement in the project, as well as the support from the governorate leadership and financial contributions from Aziz Awad, which are crucial for the project's completion.
