Sana'a: The University of Science and Technology in Sana'a celebrated the graduation of over 750 bachelor's degree students from medical, engineering, administrative, and humanities programs for the 2025-2026 academic year.
According to Yemen News Agency, Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi congratulated the graduates and their families, highlighting their perseverance in reaching this milestone. He emphasized that this graduation represents a significant national achievement amidst the challenging circumstances in the country. The minister also noted the importance of the specialized fields represented by the graduates in contributing to the labor market and urged them to continue their academic and professional journeys with confidence.
The ceremony was attended by notable figures including Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Daees and former Health Minister Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakkil. University President Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas acknowledged the university's establishment as one of Yemen's leading private universities over the past 33 years. He remarked that the graduation reflects the university's academic journey and encouraged graduates to continue learning and innovating as they embark on new stages of their lives.
Dr. Abbas also highlighted the contributions of faculty members, administrative staff, and the families of the students in achieving this success. The ceremony featured speeches by graduates Mohammed Al-Qahtani and Afnan Qiran, who expressed gratitude to the university and emphasized the importance of education in societal advancement.
The event was attended by University Vice President Dr. Noman Al-Najjar, Secretary-General Dr. Fouad Hanash, deans, department heads, and faculty members. It included an artistic performance and concluded with a medical oath ceremony led by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Abdullah Al-Makhlafi, alongside graduates from the medical colleges.
