According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression began on August 22, 2015, when a citizen was injured in Ibb Governorate after airstrikes destroyed his home. In the same region, airstrikes targeted the Special Security Forces Camp and Al-Raba'i area. Marib Governorate saw significant destruction at Al-Jufrah Hospital, while Saada Governorate was heavily bombarded with over 30 airstrikes.
The following year, 2016, saw Taiz Governorate endure a series of airstrikes that demolished homes and schools, while Sana'a Governorate's Nihm District and Hajjah Governorate faced severe damage from multiple airstrikes. Amran and Ibb Governorates were also targeted, resulting in widespread property damage.
In 2017, Saada Governorate suffered airstrikes that resulted in the deaths of three women and injuries to several others. The aggression also targeted Haradh and Midi districts in Hajjah Governorate, while Saudi border guards' gunfire resulted in casualties in Munabbih District.
By 2018, airstrikes in Abs District, Hajjah Governorate, led to civilian casualties, with additional strikes damaging homes in Saada and Hodeida Governorates. The destruction continued in 2019 with mercenaries committing brutal acts in Hodeida and further bombardments in Saada.
The aggression persisted into 2020 with intense airstrikes in Saada, Al-Jawf, and Marib Governorates. Artillery fire rained down on Hodeida, causing further destruction to civilian areas.
In 2021, airstrikes targeted Marib and Saada Governorates, while Hodeida faced shelling and the construction of combat fortifications by mercenaries. The following year, 2022, saw continued aggression in Marib, Taiz, and other provinces, with mercenaries employing artillery and firearms widely.
Most recently, in 2023 and 2024, the aggression continued unabated, with mercenaries constructing fortifications and shelling various areas. A tragic incident in 2024 left a young man severely injured due to an explosive object in Marib Governorate.
