Sana'a: On this day, March 23, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates engaged in aggression that resulted in the deaths and injuries of countless civilians, including children and women, while also causing extensive damage to private properties and infrastructure across various governorates.
According to Yemen News Agency, on March 23, 2016, an airstrike by the coalition's aircraft resulted in the deaths of three citizens and injured eight more in Al-Hajilah District, Al-Hodeidah Governorate. The aggression also targeted Old Sana'a and Shu'ub districts, killing a citizen, injuring another, and damaging homes and shops. In addition, multiple airstrikes in Sa'fan District, Sana'a Governorate, led to the deaths of four citizens, including two women and a child.
In Al-Jawf Governorate, two airstrikes completely destroyed a house in Al-Matoon District, while six airstrikes in Marib Governorate targeted Jabal Hailan and Sarwah market. Taiz city and its surrounding areas faced several airstrikes, resulting in damage to homes, roads, and other properties.
On March 23, 2017, the coalition's attacks continued with five airstrikes on Al-Salif District and 16 on a vital bridge in Al-Hodeida Governorate. Additional strikes targeted various locations in Marib, Al-Jawf, and Taiz governorates, causing widespread destruction.
The following year, airstrikes on March 23, 2018, claimed the lives of a man and his son in Al-Tuhaita District, Al-Hodeida Governorate. In Sa'ada Governorate, a pregnant woman died from cluster bomb explosions. Several airstrikes across Marib and Al-Jawf governorates resulted in further casualties and damage.
In a pattern of sustained attacks, March 23, 2019, saw the destruction of a World Food distribution center in Sa'ada Governorate. Mercenaries targeted various regions with heavy artillery, causing extensive damage to homes and farms.
On March 23, 2020, the coalition launched numerous airstrikes across Marib, Sa'ada, Hajjah, and Al-Jawf governorates, while mercenaries established combat fortifications in Hodeidah city, leading to further destruction.
The aggression continued on March 23, 2021, with airstrikes in Al-Jawf, Marib, and Hajjah governorates, alongside ground shelling by mercenaries in Al-Hodeida and Sa'ada. The airstrikes caused significant damage to both public and private properties.
On March 23, 2022, airstrikes in Al-Jawf Governorate resulted in the deaths of two women, injuries to a man, and considerable livestock loss. Additional strikes targeted communication networks and various locations in Sa'ada and Hajjah governorates.
As recently as March 23, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft conducted airstrikes in Al-Hodeida Governorate, while mercenaries fortified positions and shelled several areas, continuing the cycle of violence and destruction.
