Saada: On May 2 across multiple years, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition and its mercenaries have been involved in airstrikes and shelling campaigns targeting various regions, resulting in casualties and significant damage to properties.
According to Yemen News Agency, on May 2, 2015, a soldier was martyred and six others were injured after the coalition's aircraft launched airstrikes on the Al Ammar area in Al-Safra district, Saada governorate. The attacks also caused significant damage to farms and properties in Sahar district. The aggression continued in Marib governorate, where five citizens were injured following nine airstrikes on Harib city. In the capital, Sana'a, Al-Sabeen Square was targeted, damaging infrastructure that connects the northern and southern neighborhoods.
In 2016, the aggression escalated with a woman being martyred by sniper fire in Taiz governorate. Artillery also targeted the city of Dhubab. The following year saw two citizens martyred in an airstrike on a farm in Mahdida, Saada governorate. Various other regions faced airstrikes, including Al-Raheda city in Taiz governorate and several districts in Mocha, Dhubab, and Haradh.
The violence persisted into 2018, with airstrikes and artillery shelling impacting Saada, Hajjah, Sana'a, Amran, and Hodeida governorates. A woman was injured in Saada, while airstrikes and shelling were reported in Razeh and Monabbih districts. Haradh, Midi, and other regions also experienced repeated aggression.
In 2019, Hodeida city came under heavy fire with mortar shells and machine guns targeting various locations, including neighborhoods and public facilities. The aggression's aircraft launched strikes in Hajjah and Sana'a governorates, causing further destruction.
The aggression continued in 2020, as airstrikes targeted the Afar customs center in Al-Bayda governorate, resulting in casualties and destruction of goods. Majzar district in Marib governorate faced similar attacks, damaging citizens' property.
By 2021, the aggression's aircraft had launched multiple airstrikes on Sirwah district in Marib governorate. Mercenaries targeted properties in Bayt Al-Faqih district, Hodeida governorate, with artillery and gunfire, and established fortifications in Al-Tuhayta district.
In 2022, shelling and missile attacks were reported in Al-Jawf, Saada, Hajjah, Marib, and other governorates, affecting homes and public areas. The mercenaries established fortifications in various strategic locations, continuing the pattern of aggression observed over the years.
These recurring acts of aggression have resulted in numerous casualties and widespread destruction, affecting the lives and livelihoods of citizens across these regions.
