Sana'a: On June 8, over several consecutive years, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression has led to numerous attacks targeting civilian areas, transport buses, homes, and infrastructure, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens, including women and children.
According to Yemen News Agency, these acts of aggression began on June 8, 2015, when warplanes targeted a passenger bus near Al-Faisal City in Lahj Governorate, leaving 14 civilians martyred and several others injured. The aggression extended to Saada Governorate, where attacks on the Saber area and Al Mazrou area resulted in further casualties, including women and children. Service facilities including post offices and hospitals also suffered significant damage.
In the subsequent years, similar patterns of attacks persisted. On June 8, 2016, airstrikes were carried out on multiple districts in Amran, Najran, and Sana'a Governorates, causing extensive damage to civilian properties and infrastructure. The aggression also involved mercenaries who targeted residential areas with missiles and artillery.
The aggressive actions continued on June 8, 2017, with airstrikes causing injuries to civilians and damages to commercial properties in Saada and Marib Governorates. The attacks were characterized by artillery shelling and airstrikes, severely affecting civilian livelihoods.
By June 8, 2018, the aggression had expanded its reach, targeting border districts in Saada Governorate and areas in Al-Hodeida Governorate. The impact of these attacks included the destruction of farms and civilian injuries due to artillery fire.
The pattern of violence persisted on June 8, 2019, with airstrikes and artillery fire causing injuries and damaging civilian properties in various governorates including Saada, Hajjah, and Al-Dhalea. The aggression's warplanes targeted strategic locations, further intensifying the conflict.
June 8, 2020, saw a continuation of this aggression, with warplanes conducting numerous airstrikes across Marib, Al-Jawf, and Saada Governorates. The attacks targeted both populated areas and strategic locations, causing significant disruption to civilian life.
On June 8, 2021, the violence continued unabated, with civilians in Saada Governorate bearing the brunt of Saudi missile and artillery shelling. The aggression's warplanes launched multiple airstrikes on Sirwah District in Marib Governorate, causing extensive damage to civilian areas.
By June 8, 2022, the aggression had evolved to include the establishment of combat fortifications by mercenaries around Marib City and artillery targeting of various areas in Marib and Hajjah Governorates, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
Most recently, on June 8, 2023, enemy reconnaissance aircraft launched airstrikes in Al-Hodeida Governorate, while mercenaries continued to establish combat positions and shell civilian areas, perpetuating the cycle of violence and instability in the region.
