Sana'a: On this day, June 2, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression committed severe actions against the Yemeni population, resulting in the deaths of numerous civilians, including women and children.
According to Yemen News Agency, on June 2, 2015, airstrikes by the aggression's air force in Sa'dah Governorate led to the death of 13 civilians and injured 16 others. The airstrikes targeted commercial shops, homes, and markets, severely affecting civilian areas. Additionally, strategic infrastructure, including educational institutions and telecommunications facilities, were also targeted, causing disruption and destruction.
In subsequent years, the pattern of aggression continued. On June 2, 2016, sniper fire and shelling by mercenaries resulted in civilian casualties in Taiz city. Residential areas in multiple districts faced rocket and artillery attacks. The aggression's air force carried out airstrikes across several governorates, further endangering civilian lives and properties.
The following year, on June 2, 2017, Saudi border guards' gunfire led to civilian injuries in Saada Governorate. Airstrikes in the Baqim district inflicted significant damage on civilian property, continuing the pattern of aggression witnessed in previous years.
By 2019, the aggression's air force had launched multiple airstrikes on Ibb and Saada governorates, causing material damage. In Hodeida Governorate, mercenaries employed heavy artillery and machine guns, leading to extensive damage to civilian properties and infrastructure.
The aggression persisted into the next year. On June 2, 2020, airstrikes targeted multiple districts in Al Jawf and Sana'a governorates, while Marib Governorate faced extensive aerial attacks. Hodeida Governorate continued to be a focal point for artillery and rocket shelling by mercenaries.
On June 2, 2021, Saudi artillery shelling injured civilians in Saada Governorate. The coalition's air force conducted numerous raids in Marib and Jawf governorates, with mercenaries establishing combat positions and launching drone attacks in Hodeida Governorate.
The aggression continued unabated into 2022, with a girl killed and her family members injured in Bayda Governorate due to mercenary shelling. The coalition's armed reconnaissance aircraft and mercenaries continued targeting civilian homes and areas across various governorates, causing widespread fear and destruction.
Most recently, on June 2, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft raids in Hodeida Governorate were reported, with artillery and live ammunition attacks by mercenaries further exacerbating the dire situation for civilians caught in the conflict.
