Sanaa: On this day, June 18, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression used internationally prohibited weapons to target populated areas in several governorates, resulting in deaths and injuries and massive destruction of civilian property and infrastructure.
According to Yemen News Agency, on June 18, 2015, the aggression's air force launched airstrikes on the Al-Mazraq area in Hajjah Governorate, using internationally prohibited cluster bombs. Additional airstrikes were carried out in the Al-Khader, Al-Madahsha, and Midi districts on the same day.
The subsequent years saw continued aggression on June 18. In 2016, the air force targeted the Bin Aida farm in Al-Maslub District, Jawf Governorate, causing extensive damage. In 2017, an attack on the Al-Mashnaq market in Shada, Saada governorate, resulted in the death of 24 civilians.
The following year, a child's serious injury in the As-Salu district, Taiz governorate, highlighted the ongoing violence. The air force also targeted homes and infrastructure in Marib and Jawf Governorates.
The pattern continued on June 18, 2019, with airstrikes in Qa'taba District, Dhale'a Governorate, and Baqim district, Sa'ada Governorate, affecting citizens' farms and homes. Hodeida Governorate witnessed shelling and attacks on markets and residential areas.
The aggression persisted on June 18, 2020, with multiple air raids across Haradh, Bayda, Marib, and Jawf Governorates. In 2021, a citizen was wounded by Saudi border guard fire in Saada Governorate, with further airstrikes reported in Marib and Hodeida Governorates.
Most recently, on June 18, 2023, a man and a child were injured due to explosions from remnants of the aggression in Hodeida Governorate, accompanied by additional raids and shelling in the area.
