US-Saudi-Emirati Aggression Marks May 22 with Attacks Over Several Years

Sana'a: On this day, May 22, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and its mercenaries have historically targeted civilians and public and private facilities in multiple governorates, resulting in injuries to civilians and significant destruction.

According to Yemen News Agency, on May 22, 2015, the aggression's air force launched two raids on Al-Nahdain Mountain and several other raids on the Barash camp in Sana'a, as well as other locations in the governorate including Khashm Al-Bakrah, Al-Sama', and Raymah Hamid camps. In Amran Governorate, three raids targeted the communications network in Jabal Dhain, while more than six raids struck the Jabal Haylan area near Marib City. A Saudi missile strike also targeted the Al-Hajlah area in the Razih district of Saada Governorate.

On May 22, 2016, three children were injured in a mercenary attack in Jawf Governorate's Al-Ma'imrah area. The air force conducted two raids on Jabal Ham and Al-Mahzam area in the same district. Additional air raids were launched on the capital Sana'a, affecting the Nuqum and Al-Nahdain districts with high-explosive sound bombs. The mercenaries also targeted the Bani Bariq area in Nihm district and shelled the Al-Omari area and Dhubab district in Taiz Governorate.

In 2017, the air force launched an airstrike on Jabal Al-Hawl in Sana'a's Nihm district and nine airstrikes in various areas of Saada's Majz district, causing extensive civilian property damage. Two drone strikes hit the Baqim district in the same governorate. That year, Ahmed Saleh Al-Daf'a Al-Zaidi's home in Marib Governorate's Sirwah district was destroyed, while mercenaries targeted various areas in the district with artillery.

The year 2018 saw a woman injured and civilian property damaged due to Saudi missile and artillery shelling in Saada's Razih district. The aggression's air force launched multiple raids across Saada and other governorates, targeting civilian areas and infrastructure.

On May 22, 2019, mercenaries shelled residential neighborhoods and targeted civilian homes in Hodeida city, while Saudi missile and artillery attacks were directed at populated villages in Saada's border districts.

In 2020, the coalition's air force conducted numerous raids in Hajjah, Marib, and Jawf Governorates, causing damage to homes and civilian property. Mercenaries also targeted locations in Hodeida city and various areas in Hodeida Governorate with artillery and live ammunition.

By 2021, the aggression's air force executed 15 raids in Marib and additional raids in Hajjah Governorate. Reconnaissance aircraft targeted Hodeida's At-Tuhayta District, with mercenaries establishing fortifications and shelling several areas in the region.

The following year, in 2022, shelling by mercenaries led to injuries to eight women and two children in Hodeida Governorate, while targeting multiple areas in Marib, Hajjah, and Saada Governorates, among others.

Most recently, on May 22, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft launched a raid on Hodeida's Hays district, with mercenaries shelling numerous areas in the governorate with artillery and live ammunition.
