Sana’a: On this day, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression launched a series of air and ground raids targeting citizens’ properties and infrastructure in a number of governorates, resulting in martyrs, wounded individuals, and extensive destruction.

According to Yemen News Agency, on February 28, 2016, the aggression’s aircraft launched attacks across multiple locations. Two airstrikes hit the headquarters of the 139th Infantry Brigade in Radaa, Al-Bayda Governorate, and fourteen airstrikes targeted the Technical Institute in Amran. A gas station in Houth was destroyed, along with several poultry farms in the areas of Dhu Mutay and Dhu Kara.

In Al-Hodeida Governorate, an airstrike destroyed a rest stop for travelers in the Al-Qataba area, while further airstrikes hit Al-Zahrah District. Marib Governorate saw eight airstrikes with toxic smoke bombs on Al-Masariya village and other areas. In Saada Governorate, Apache helicopters shelled Al-Qam and Al-Makhrouq, while artillery targeted additional regions.

Further reports indicate that various areas in Shada, Razeh, and Al-Dhahir Districts were subjected to missile and artillery shelling, while airstrikes damaged homes and public roads in Taiz, Sana’a, and other governorates. The aggression’s aircraft also targeted areas in the Capital Secretariat, Hajjah, Al-Jawf, and Asir, causing substantial damage to properties and infrastructure.

The aggression continued for several years, with airstrikes, artillery shelling, and ground attacks resulting in significant casualties and destruction. On February 28, 2017, airstrikes in Marib destroyed a car and a water pump, while in 2018, an airstrike in Al-Hodeida killed five girls and injured three others. Further attacks in Saada and Al-Bayda led to more casualties and destruction of homes and farms.

In 2019, airstrikes and artillery shelling continued across governorates such as Saada, Al-Jawf, and Al-Hodeida, causing further loss of life and damage. The following years saw repeated violations by mercenaries, including shelling of residential areas and targeting of civilian properties.

The aggression persisted into 2022 and 2023, with continued airstrikes and artillery attacks causing casualties and destruction across Yemeni governorates, including Marib, Al-Hodeida, and Saada. The aggression has left a lasting impact on the region, with ongoing threats to civilian lives and infrastructure.
