US-Saudi-Emirati Airstrikes and Civilian Casualties in Yemen

Sana'a: The US-Saudi-Emirati coalition conducted a series of airstrikes across Yemen, resulting in significant civilian casualties and destruction of property. On September 16, 2015, the coalition warplanes targeted residential areas and civilian facilities, resulting in the death of one citizen and injuries to others in the Bir Basha area of Taiz Governorate. Multiple airstrikes were also launched in the areas of Al-Zanqal, Al-Ba'arara, and Al-Hasab. According to Yemen News Agency, further airstrikes in Taiz caused the death of citizen Abdul Majeeb Khaled Al-Saidi and damaged homes near the Zahm barrier. In Marib Governorate, a truck loaded with vegetables was hit, resulting in one death and several injuries. The airstrikes also destroyed the house of citizen Mansour bin Haidar Al-Amir and targeted a fuel truck, causing it to catch fire. In Dhamar Governorate, six airstrikes injured several citizens in Al-Sharq City. The coalition's airstrikes in Hajjah Governorate damaged numerous homes, and in Saada Gove rnorate, attacks on the Education Office and various properties caused extensive damage. The following years saw continued aggression. On September 16, 2016, an airstrike in Sana'a Governorate resulted in 15 casualties. In Marib, an airstrike claimed the lives of five citizens, including children. Further airstrikes across Saada caused deaths and destruction of properties. In 2017, airstrikes in Marib led to the deaths of six women and two children. In Taiz, attacks on the main road resulted in two fatalities. Various areas in Saada and Hajjah were targeted, causing multiple casualties and damage. In 2018, airstrikes in Hodeida resulted in the deaths of a radio engineer and three employees. The coalition's attacks on populated villages in Saada caused deaths and property damage. In 2019, airstrikes continued across multiple governorates, leading to injuries and destruction. The aggression persisted in 2020, with airstrikes in Marib and Al-Jawf causing significant property damage. In 2021, airstrikes in Ma rib resulted in damage to citizens' properties and farms. In 2022, reconnaissance aircraft and artillery shelling targeted several districts, causing destruction and civilian distress. On September 16, 2023, airstrikes were reported in Taiz, and mercenary actions continued to affect various areas in Yemen, causing ongoing civilian hardship and property damage.
