Sana'a: On this day, May 4, a number of civilians, including children, were killed and injured due to the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression targeting airports, service facilities, and homes in various governorates.
According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression on May 4, 2015, resulted in the death of ten civilians and injuries to 17 others, including three children, following an airstrike on the Al-Masqa area in the Al-Saddah district of Ibb Governorate. The attack destroyed three homes and severely damaged several others. Additionally, more than 30 airstrikes were launched on Aden International Airport and surrounding areas, with significant bombardment in Khormaksar, Sheikh Othman, Crater, Al-Arish, Al-Ummal Island, and grain silos. The strikes also targeted Ma'rib Governorate and Sana'a International Airport, leading to the destruction of a Yemenia Airlines civilian aircraft.
On May 4, 2016, the aggression's air force launched attacks on areas in Nihm, Sana'a Governorate, while mercenaries engaged in missile and artillery shelling in the region. In Taiz Governorate, Al-Wazi'iyah District and Dhubab were targeted, along with other districts in Shabwah and Marib Governorates.
By May 4, 2017, three civilians were injured in airstrikes, including drone attacks in Saada Governorate. The aggression extended to various districts in Sana'a, Taiz, Hajjah, and Jawf Governorates, causing extensive damage to civilian properties and farms. In addition, Saudi missile and artillery shelling in border districts further exacerbated the destruction.
The trend of violence continued on May 4, 2018, when Saudi border guard fire claimed a life in Saada Governorate, and missile strikes injured civilians, including children, in the Haydan District. Several airstrikes targeted various areas across the governorate and other districts, leading to widespread damage to civilian infrastructure.
On May 4, 2019, civilians in Al-Hodeidah Governorate suffered injuries from mortar shells and extensive artillery shelling by mercenaries. Airstrikes in Saada and other regions compounded the damage to civilian properties and infrastructure.
The aggression persisted on May 4, 2020, as airstrikes on the Afar customs office in Al-Bayda Governorate injured truck drivers and destroyed food supplies. Mercenaries continued targeting civilian areas with heavy and medium weapons across Hodeida Governorate, while Saudi missile and artillery shelling in Saada Governorate inflicted further harm.
On May 4, 2021, airstrikes on Sirwah District in Marib Governorate and artillery shelling in Hodeida Governorate continued the pattern of aggression. Combat fortifications established by mercenaries exacerbated the situation, leading to further destruction and displacement.
By May 4, 2022, the coalition's mercenaries targeted multiple governorates, including Ma'rib, Hajjah, Dhale', Jawf, Sa'dah, and Taiz, with artillery shelling. Combat fortifications and shelling in Hodeida Governorate continued, intensifying the humanitarian crisis in the region.
