Muscat: US-Saudi-Emirati aggression aircraft carried out numerous airstrikes causing destruction and loss of life, targeting civilians, infrastructure, and properties in Yemen on various occasions, particularly on August 10 of different years, leaving a trail of devastation.
According to Yemen News Agency, on August 10, 2015, the aggression aircraft launched four airstrikes on the Al-Hussein area in Amran Governorate, causing significant damage to homes and citizens' property. In Saada City, airstrikes destroyed the Political Security building and damaged nearby structures. Further bombardments targeted citizens' homes in Razih District and inflicted damage on the Al-Soufa Manouz area between Al-Qafr and Al-Makhadir districts in Ibb Governorate.
On August 15, 2016, two citizens were injured when three airstrikes were launched on the Economic Corporation in Maabar City, Dhamar Governorate, which also damaged warehouses. Tragedy struck in Nihm District, Sana'a Governorate, where an airstrike killed two children and a man, injuring others. Over 50 airstrikes wreaked havoc across multiple areas in the district, damaging homes and farms.
In subsequent years, airstrikes continued to cause destruction across various governorates. On August 10, 2017, airstrikes targeted Al-Dhahir District in Saada Governorate, damaging farms. Aggression aircraft also bombed Haradh and Midi districts in Hajjah Governorate, affecting infrastructure and homes.
On August 10, 2018, airstrikes resulted in the death of a girl and injuries to her mother and two others in Sarwah District, Marib Governorate. Another airstrike claimed the lives of an elderly woman and a girl in Al-Durayhimi District, Hodeida Governorate. The aggression aircraft also launched multiple airstrikes in the areas of Arhab, Bani Matar, and Sana'a International Airport.
The violence persisted on August 10, 2019, as airstrikes in Bakil Al-Mir District, Hajjah Governorate, resulted in a fatality and injuries. Meanwhile, Saudi artillery and rocket shelling targeted populated villages along the border areas, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
On August 10, 2020, aggression aircraft targeted Majzar District in Marib Governorate, and mercenaries shelled various areas in Hodeida Governorate with heavy artillery and firearms. In 2021, airstrikes hit Nati' District in Al-Bayda Governorate and various other districts, causing widespread damage and displacing civilians.
The aggression continued on August 10, 2022, with airstrikes in Marib, Najran, and Hodeida Governorates. Mercenaries established fortifications and shelled multiple areas, intensifying the conflict and leaving many regions under siege.
Most recently, on August 10, 2023, Saudi artillery shelling and drone attacks injured four citizens in Shada District, Saada Governorate. In Hodeida Governorate, reconnaissance aircraft and mercenaries continued to target civilian areas with artillery and firearms, perpetuating the cycle of violence and destruction.
