Sana'a: On this day, September 19, the warplanes of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression launched a series of airstrikes on several governorates, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens, including children and women, committing war crimes and crimes against humanity.
According to Yemen News Agency, the events of September 19, 2015, saw 30 citizens, including women and children, martyred and more than 70 others injured. Homes were destroyed, and 220 houses were damaged due to airstrikes targeting the neighborhoods of Al-Falihi, Al-Alimi, Moammar, and No'man in Sana'a's Old City, a World Heritage Site. Additionally, more than ten citizens were martyred, and over 60 others injured, with destruction in various neighborhoods of the Capital Municipality.
In Marib Governorate, three citizens, including a woman and a child, were martyred in airstrikes on the home of Saleh Mabhout Al-Basha. The aggression further targeted Saada Governorate, resulting in the martyrdom of ten citizens, mostly women and children, and injuries to others. Similar destructive airstrikes affected several other districts, causing extensive material damage.
The following years continued to witness relentless airstrikes. On September 19, 2016, multiple areas in Saada Governorate were heavily targeted, including health centers and bridges, causing civilian casualties and infrastructural damage. Subsequent years saw similar patterns of destruction across various governorates, with airstrikes targeting residential areas, public infrastructure, and agricultural lands.
The relentless aggression persisted through 2018 and 2019, with airstrikes targeting essential facilities like fishing ports and residential areas, leading to significant property damage and loss of life. The pattern of devastation continued into 2020 and beyond, with mercenaries reportedly engaging in artillery shelling and firearm attacks on civilian areas.
The reports highlight a distressing pattern of aggression by US-Saudi-Emirati forces, marked by repeated airstrikes across Yemen's governorates, resulting in significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction over the years.
