Sana'a: On this day, June 23, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression committed new crimes against the Yemeni people, killing dozens of civilians and resulting in massive destruction of airports, grain silos, factories, homes, and farms.
According to Yemen News Agency, on June 23, 2015, five civilians were injured in an airstrike by the aggression's air force on the government complex building in the Mukayras district of Bayda governorate. The air force targeted multiple areas including Balah in Lahj governorate, several locations in Aden governorate including the international airport, and various districts in Hajjah governorate such as Haradh and Midi.
On June 23, 2016, a medical staff member at the military hospital in Taiz was killed by sniper fire from aggression mercenaries. Artillery and airstrikes caused further damage in Taiz, Marib, and other regions, impacting civilian homes and infrastructure.
The following year, June 23, 2017, was marked by extensive airstrikes in Marib, Sana'a, Taiz, and Jawf governorates. Yemeni civilians suffered significant losses as airstrikes targeted homes, farms, and public facilities, while ground attacks continued in various districts.
Casualties continued to rise on June 23, 2018, when two children, two women, and an elderly man were killed in Saada governorate during airstrikes that destroyed homes. Areas in Sana'a and Hajjah governorates experienced raids resulting in further civilian property damage.
The tragic pattern persisted on June 23, 2019, with deaths and injuries due to airstrikes, artillery shelling, and lack of medical supplies in Al-Hodeida and Saada. Civilian infrastructure, including homes and hotels, faced significant damage from continued aggression.
On June 23, 2020, the aggression's air force conducted numerous airstrikes across multiple governorates, severely impacting civilian areas in Hajjah, Bayda, Marib, and Jawf. In Hodeida, mercenaries demolished homes and shelled residential areas, intensifying the humanitarian crisis.
The violence on June 23, 2021, saw more civilian casualties and property destruction across several districts in Marib and Hodeida. The coalition's air raids and artillery shelling resulted in further devastation.
In 2022, the aggression's tactics included landmines, missile attacks, and live ammunition, leaving civilians injured and infrastructure damaged across regions such as Hodeida, Dhale'a, and Taiz. The mercenaries' fortifications and guided missile attacks exacerbated the conflict.
Most recently, on June 23, 2023, a citizen was killed in the Nihm district of Sana'a Governorate due to unexploded ordnance. The ongoing conflict continued to claim lives and destroy communities across Yemen.
