US-Saudi-UAE Aggression on June 13: War Crimes and Civilian Casualties in Yemen

Sana'a: On June 13, the US-Saudi-UAE coalition carried out a series of aggressive military actions that resulted in significant civilian casualties and destruction across Yemen. The attacks targeted residential areas, service institutions, and roads, leading to the deaths and injuries of dozens, including many women and children. According to Yemen News Agency, the events of June 13, 2015, marked a particularly devastating day. Airstrikes in the Bayt Muayad area of Al-Sabeen District in the Capital Sana'a resulted in the deaths of eight citizens and injuries to forty others. The majority of the victims were women and children, with numerous homes either destroyed or significantly damaged. In another tragic incident, airstrikes on Bayt Na'am and Ghurzat Hamdan in the Hamdan District of Sana'a Governorate claimed the lives of two girls and injured six citizens. This attack also led to the destruction of several homes. In Dhamar City, the aggression's warplanes targeted an administrative base and warehouses be longing to the Seed Multiplication Corporation, wounding eleven citizens. The aggression continued in Saada Governorate, where five citizens were killed and three injured when aircraft targeted the home of Ahmed Mohammed Al-Sailami in the Dammaj area. In 2016, airstrikes hit strategic locations in Marib Governorate, while in 2017, artillery shelling and airstrikes in Marib, Taiz, and Saada Governorates resulted in injuries and further property damage. The aggression persisted through 2018, 2019, and 2020, with continuous airstrikes, artillery shelling , and the establishment of combat fortifications by mercenaries in various regions. Most recently, on June 13, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft launched airstrikes in Taiz and Al-Hodeida Governorates, with mercenaries establishing combat fortifications and engaging in artillery shelling. These actions have continued to inflict considerable suffering on the Yemeni population, causing loss of life and extensive damage to infrastructure and property.
