New York: The major stock indices on Wall Street closed higher on Friday, supported by a better-than-expected jobs report.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Standard and Poor's 500 index rose 60.36 points to 5,999.66. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased by 227.67 points to close at 19,526.12. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 440.08 points, ending the day at 42,759.82.
