Sana'a: A vocational training course in industrial and residential electrical installations and modern automotive mechanics commenced on Monday in Bayda province. The one-month program aims to provide 100 unemployed young people from various districts with both theoretical knowledge and practical training in automotive electrical systems, vehicle mechanics, and hands-on technical skills.
According to Yemen News Agency, Bayda governor Abdullah Idris emphasized the importance of equipping young people with vocational skills that meet labor market demands, increase household income, and enable trainees to build sustainable livelihoods through income-generating trades. He highlighted that the training programs are intended to make productive use of young people's time and shield them from external influences as the country faces challenges on multiple fronts, including military, economic, cultural, and technological.
The governor encouraged participants to fully engage in the course, develop their skills, and seek employment opportunities in collaboration with relevant authorities. In addition, Nabil Gharamah, head of the Governorate's Literacy and Adult Education Authority, mentioned that the center offers vocational training in various development-oriented fields aimed at enhancing community skills and aiding participants in securing employment. Gharamah noted that trainees will receive both theoretical instruction and practical training from specialized instructors, followed by assessments and examinations.
The course was organized by the Basic Vocational Training Center in Al Bayda City, operating under the Governorate Office of the Literacy and Adult Education Authority.
