Ibb: The Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Ibb Governorate commemorated today the anniversary of the noble Prophet's birth (Mawlid al-Nabawi) for the year 1448 AH, with a speech event. The event was attended by Shura Council member Nabil Al-Habishi and the Assistant Commander of the Central Axis, Brigadier General Hamdan Al-Hammas. The Deputy Governor, Hareth Al-Maliki, considered the commemoration of the Mawlid an embodiment of the depth of the Yemeni people's connection to the Messenger of God (PBUH), and a reinforcement of his status in the hearts of the nation's people.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governor Al-Maliki explained that the occasion represents a station for recalling the Prophet's pure biography and emulating his values and principles in real life. He noted that the commemoration of the occasion coincides with the cohesion and popular and official engagement the Yemeni people are experiencing, reflecting the presence of the values and principles embodied by the noble Prophet in steadfastness, patience, and sacrifice.
Deputy Governor Al-Maliki emphasized the importance of enhancing the role of community participation in Mawlid events and the return of the misled who are in the ranks of the aggression to the homeland, contributing to entrenching social cohesion and prioritizing the public interest. He urged the governorate's residents to participate widely in the central celebration on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal, and to showcase the occasion's significance in a manner befitting it.
The event, attended by the Planning Sector official of the governorate Kamal Al-Harithi, the Governor's advisor for the Water Corporation Salim Al-Baham, the Local Secretary of Al-Mashna District Khaled Al-Maliki, the corporation's deputies, branch directors in the districts, and staff of the corporation and its branches, featured chanting segments, religious musical stanzas, and a poetic recital.
